    speaking to ady at riviera bike and hes sorted a new tour out for this year.me and a mate are keen on thsi going on Sat 3 July, needs 5 people to make it worthwile , so if anyone fancies thsia trip it will be fantastic, rode with riviera bike last year and it was great, the itinerary is below.Its a tour rather than riding from the same place every day, and the riding and scenery are fantastic
    heres what riviera bike say about it………..
    Not making anything out of this at all, he just needs 5 people minimum to run the tour
    The tour will be fully supported with the 4×4 following with all your gear, food, spare bike and trailer for uplifts if any of the group gets too tired ?

    Itinerary for the 5 day tour.

    Day 1 Saturday – Arrive at Molini di Triora, chill out have a beer etcc..

    Day 2 Sunday – ride in the Molini area , do some practice and warm up runs.

    Day 3 Monday – Day 1 of the tour – We take the van up to 1200m and ride all the way up to 2200m at Saccharello (highest point in Liguria) and then descend 1500m vert to the agriturismo in Upega.

    Day 4 Tuesday – Day 2 of the tour – Depart from Upega and we climb up to the French border and follow an old Napolenic trail along the border passing and then we descend on some stunning singletrack to the ski resort town of Limone Piemonte. Where we will stay in a hotel.

    Day 5 Wednesday – Day 3 of the tour – We take the ski chair lifts from Limone and we will arrive once again at the border. We will continue on the ridge passing many many old Napoleonic forts and arriving in Casterino a small mountain hamlet high in the mountains. Here we will stay in a nice hotel. This will be the easier day of the tour giving some time in the afternoon for some R&R.

    Day 6 Thursday – Day 4 of the tour – From Casterino we start with a long flowing singletrack descent to La Brigue at 800m. from here we climb up to Cime Marta 1350m before descending to the Rifugio Alavena, your stop for the evening.

    Day 7 Friday – day 5 of the tour – The last day 65km and 3000m of descending!!! We climb up to Mt Grai and then follow some stunning high alpine singletrack. A stop for lunch before doing the second half all the way down to the sea at Ventigmiglia This day is our alp to Sea run…. http://rivierabike.co.uk/holiday/xc.html
