    After giving the trusty steed a once over on Sunday after the Friday night bimble with Mart, it was a chance in Rossendale last night for a rare dry couple of hours.

    All was well until I got to the far part of the ride from home, when "crack" went my chain.

    The only time in years I didn't pack my power link and trail tool.

    Limped back to the jolly sailor in the granny ring after a demented "superstar" style repair with a couple of rocks.

    Lesson learnt !!

    sorry to hear that Mark , hope you found some consolation in the jolly sailor !!!! how far wsas the limp home ?

    The limp home was from the bottom of the zig zags !!

    The Pride of Pendle made up for it though
