Planning on heading to the isle of white for a long weekend. Looking for a campsite ideally with direct access to the sea and some advice on bike routes, nothing serious just fun family cycling.

    many thanks

Campsite with direct access to sea; http://grangefarmholidays.com/

Not sure what type of family riding you are after, but the ‘downs’ nearby offer long, safe, but hilly bridleways. There is also some mellow singletrack, some more serious singletrack and a trail centre

See this link for the mags view; http://singletrackworld.com/trailguide/uk/south-east/the-isle-of-wight/

Ps apologies; I am on my phone so decent links and long/detailed responses are not an option at the moment

You’ve also got Nodes Point Campsite and Whitecliff bay but agree that grange farm would be better option as on south side of Island nearer to bridleway network and forest. I even think they allow bonfires here. If you’re in any need of advice on trails but an OS map and take it into Wight Mountain bike shop in Newport. The guys in there will highlight all the best trails for you. They may even show you some that’s not marked! Oh and you may endear yourself to the locals by spelling it ‘Isle of Wight’. 😉
