    Race Face Ride AM Crank

Looking to upgrade my isis cranks for my AM bike and have come across these, my current cranks are FSA XC jobbies and have lasted well, taking a lot of abuse. Worth a crack at this price or get some SLX secondhand?

Old technology so that is why i suspect its going cheap. Hollowtech are a lot better, id get shot of ISIS and go HT honestly speaking, however they will do you fine dont get me wrong.

Also check their weight first, race face can weigh a ton

i’ve had slax for about 2.5yrs now and theyve been faultless, light, no flex and just seem to work. check merlin, they had some offers on the other week.

saying that RF stuff is generally solid too….

ISIS is nice and light and you can get Crank Bros BBs from CRC for £15 at the moment (includes 5 year gtee).

Old technology ain’t necessarily bad technology.

    Beware the CRC bargain BB.

It is a 108mm axle for a road crank, not MTB which needs a 113mm axle.

I have been lucky with ISIS but friends have had universal serial failures.

Overall, I will stick with several square tapers, one ISIS, one Octalink and one external XT M770 set.
