I was wondering how that photo managed to get 440 views in a couple of days, now I see where they’re coming from…
I wrote to the seller and reported the item to eBay but it seems both were ignored. Honestly can’t believe anyone would bid on an item that suspicious. I really hope the bidder gets a bike or that his £1300 is safe.

Great, a little bit late but otherwise it’s nice to know eBay takes the time to deal with issues like this. I got a nice email from the eBay staff earlier:
“Thank you for your report about another member using your image in their
mountain bike listing (item no. 2028518719)without your permission.Let me reassure you that it's our top priority to ensure eBay remains a
safe and reputable place to shop. We have taken the appropriate action
in this matter and have removed the listing from the site.I'd also like to mention that members are often unaware that using
images or text found on eBay, or other sites on the Internet, is against
eBay policy. So, in addition to alerting us in future, please feel free
to refer the member to eBay's policy page at:http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/copyrights.html
There's no foolproof way to stop people downloading your online images
and saving them. However, you can discourage it by adding watermarks to
your images using an image editing software.Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention, we appreciate
your assistance in helping us keep eBay a safe and fun place to shop.”I think I might take their advice on that watermark thingy…

good news, but it looks like it took lordonone saying "hey that MY pic" rather than all the rest of us who wrote "hey thats HIS pic" and whom ebay seemed to ignore.

So I pointed out to Ebay (twice) that the seller used your pic Lord on one,and that the info on the listing was wrong and the seller was lying in his answers and the item was a potential fraud, and nothing happens.
When you say they've used your pic, it gets pulled! So much for their fraud department, but they're copyrght dept are sharp!
Hopefully no one has been stung!

Thanks to those who also mentioned to eBay that it was my photo!
What I wrote to eBay was pretty short but most of it was about my concerns that the sale was a scam. You’ll notice they didn’t mention a word about that part of my message in their reply.
