    I run 180mm rotors so bought Shimano adapters (see photos). The fronts came with grey “wobble” spacers (not sure what they’re called) – but the rears didn’t. Is that normal ?

    Shouldn’t I have them at the rear too ?

    No, you have correct parts.

    See the front brake, the bolts go all the way through in to the legs. To get the position they want, the caliper is no longer straight respective to these bolts. You can see that the cup & cone washers are required as the bolt head would not sit flush on the caliper.

    On the rear brake, there are bolts holding the adaptor on and bolts holding the caliper on to the adaptor. Everything can be made nice and straight without needing cup & cone washers.
