Just been tallying up how much I need to spend on new stuff to keep my bike rolling = £700 😐
Like my old Kona but could buy a new Boardman or Saracen for not a lot more 🙄
Must be costing peeps serious ££££s to build up from a frame set only 😥

£700, really? Are we talking main prized bike yea? Could it be retired to mud/hack/hop to the shop bike for much less, and then get a new bike…

Well if you carefully selected a new bike you might find, if you didn’t like how it rides, that you can rob its components to build-up the old bike for no additional cost.

Can’t imagine £700 in one go myself, given Merlin can flog you full 10s XT including brakes and wheels for £730. Is it fork and shock too?
