  • Is it safe to put a heart rate strap in the washing machine?

Obviously minus the battery section (this comes off the rest of the strap), but the tabs that ‘connect’ to the skin are still on the rubberised section that I’d put in the wash.

Would it kill it, or should I be ok? Its starting to wiff a bit.

Its for a Mio 105 should it make any difference.

    Just hand wash it. 🙄

I’ve killed a HR strap in the washing machine.

Take mine into the shower with me now, and give it a quick rub with excess shampoo.

My polar strap has been washed onc a week at least for the last 30 or so weeks without issue.

I’ll give it a try I think on a low temp wash. It is just the fabric strap bit, with the rubberised ‘skin interface’ pads. The actual battery/transmitter unit detaches fully.

I put my Bryton HR strap in the washing machine with the rest of my kit on 30 degree wash without detergent 39 min cycle.

Mine has been through a few times by accident with the battery in, it’s still going strong.
