Ding a little digging and research in ye olde reliable source of wikipedia it looks like the brand was bought by Pacific Cycles in 2009. It looks like they did the same thing for Schwinn and GT back in 2001.

Must agree it is a pretty sorry site, and it doesn’t look encoraging for there to be any of the old tech documents available through them.

GT have made a bit of a comeback of late so you never know in 10 years time Iron Horse may be the company it once was.

Should I be glad that I can’t get that website to open?

when Pacific bought the bankrupt GT they said explicitly they would be concentrating on the sub $500 big retailer market (I had an I-drive at the time that needed spares so followed it all closely). Given theyre now doing carbon fibre zaskars and stuff like this high tech hi price monster

there may be hope for Ironhorse if Pacific think the brand has enough heritage to carry high price high profit bikes.

    Yikes, that is sad 🙁

My hubby’s got a Mk3 and it’s a great bike – very similar to the Turner I had!

    Shame…
