    Any good, and free, avi to mp4 converters out there? Looked at Bigasoft ipad video converter which looks good on the demo version but the full subscription version is about $30.

    If you can get handbrake for mac then it should do what you need.

    MPEG Streamclip or Handbrake are the best free solutions. I prefer MPEG Streamclip.
