there was an advertorial in Dirt for the Santa cruz tallboy, got halfway through and got bored.

Fair enough give riders a column.

Fair enough if they'r sponsosred they can subtly plug their sponsors, its how they make a living after all.

But this was a whole page of drivel about how ace the tallboy is, in Dirt FFS.

Be nice if a UK mag could do a full-sus 29er comparison – Sultan, Tallboy, Rocky Mountain, Niner, Salsa possibly Lenz (Are the Specialized available over here?).

    …not that I could afford one! 😥

Good idea. It would be a reference overview of how the very best of the USA 29er bikes translate for a UK trail feel

yeah – because USA bikes are designed for the USA – it being such a small land mass and so specific and stuff.

    😕

'spose Canadian bikes should be included too – their geo usually sees more UK favour

Given that Dirt has subtly shifted to being less about pure DH and Dirt Jumping, and that 29" wheels have significant benefits in terms of stability and being smoother over the bumps, I think it's totally relevant for a Mag like Dirt to be testing a 29er right now!

bonesetter – those American brands like Trek, Specialized, Fisher, Turner etc – they just really haven't broken into the UK trail scene yet – must be the different trails they are designed for.
