Having trouble deciding between these to frames.

Its intended to replace an ageing cannondale gemini which was a fantasticly versatile bike.

I’ll be using it for general bike park mucking about (chicksands type stuff), lots of dh courses and an annual trip to bigger hills abroad.

was thinking about running some fox 36 or some totems.

Anyone using these bikes at the moment and can offer some opinion on either?
also is there anything else i should be considering?

    cheers!

I’m a huge fan of Intense Cycles, for me they are one of the best marques in the business with a superb customer services department which makes you feel as though you’re actually part of a very unique brand. Small enough to receive emails answering specific queries yet large enough to ensure you’re never to far away from hands on suport in the form of a good reputable dealer.

Both the frames you mention are very good, the Uzzi however is more adaptable to meet various riding requirements. The SS2 is a play bike, the Uzzi is versitile enough to turn its hand to anything. I think you’ll not go far wrong with an Uzzi. It’s just my opinion but in terms of meeting your needs I think the Uzzi may be the way to go. Forks wise, I can’t really shed much light on the subject, I’ve seen all sorts but you can’t go far wrong with something like Rock Shox Lyrik 2-Step 1.5″ Air Forks, but then the beauty of the Uzzi is that with a 1.5″ headtube you’re options are wide open.

    I hope this helps.

Pretty much agree with what specialist said. You can run either 160 or 180mm forks in the Uzzi so it is very versatile.
However, if you want pure fun and dont want to pedal up hills, the SS2 would be my choice.

I have a large SS2 in the build stage. I went with Lyrik solo air 170 – very plush, light and super stiff! Look at the reviews on the fork you will not be dissapointed. If you look at the review of the SS2 in Dirt, they are using it for everything from 2-4 hour rides to DH.
It was even used to win an enduro race with plenty of uphills.
    Cheers,

I’ve just built up an SS2 and it pedals very well.

    The group I ride in there’s 2 Uzzi’s, 2 SS1’s, 2 SS2’s, 1 951 and we all ride the same trails.

I’d go test ride both if you can?
