Nuke Proof seems decent and cheaper than a Thomson.

I’ve gone from Thomson to the I-beam. (and I-fly saddles) cheap, loads of adjustment, comfy, and because no one seems to want them if you buy a post you often get the saddle thrown in free.

If you can get past Thomson, Smica.

I’ve yet to break a Thomson post, while I have broken two other leading makes. If you have ever travelled ten miles home with no seatpost you will know that it is best avoided.

Easton do an inline carbon and I think they have a similar ordinary version!!!!

I agree. Race face, Easton and FSA all broken. Thomson 10 years and still going strong.

    I’ve said it before…

Thomson = the BMW (or now Audi?) of the mountainbike world.

Hope Eternity, USE Sumo. Eastons aren’t far off inline

I snapped the rails off an Ibeam saddle on it’s 3rd ride. Biggish crash, but still less than impressed.

There’s always the Thomson Masterpiece is you want proper light, proper expensive and can get away with a 330mm length.

Bonded head, mine came unstuck and spun on the shaft, and trying to get the Lifetime warrenty honoured was a waste of time
