Ordered some stuff from the US, paid the VAT etc, but one of the items was faulty. I’ve sent it back – when they send the replacement, please tell me I’m not going to have to pay it again? Do they mark it as returned goods or something?

    Thanks

If they mark it as warranty you have nothing to pay.

You shouldn’t get charged I bought a camera lens from Hong Kong via e-bay & the seller marked it as warranty replacement and I wasn’t charged.

lets hope so! About 15 years ago i worked on a short film festival, canvasing films from all round the world, it was quite a big collaborative project so I volunteered my work address as where all the submissions should be posted to. People had to submit VHS viewing copies of the films for selection. One in every three tapes arrived with a customs declaration giving not the value of the cassette tape but the full production budget of the film. That got interesting!!!

Thanks folks, that’s what I was hoping.
