    For some reason disc brakes have (IIRC) always been mounted on the left hand side of the bike – in the case of the rear wheel for quite obvious reasons.
    Is there a reason for the front wheel mount though?

    I was wondering if having the front brake on the right hand side would offer any advantages to handling under braking?
