    Building around a Norco 853 Ryan Leech with Kona P2’s.

    Need to replace the knackered GXP BB and 9spd casstette.

    Squaretaper? Clutch mech? Cranks? Single ring OC.

    £300 all in. Will deal with wheels later.

    s/h saint chainset off ebay for £50 tops, file off the 104mm BCD arms leaving just the granny ring tabs.

    XTR BB from Rose bikes,

    KMC single speed chain (3/32 or 1/8 flavour)

    Cheep 26t granny ring off CRC

    13t sprocket from an old cassette

    On-One sprung chain tensioner (unsprung ones don’t play well with singlespeed chains)

    Et voilla, cheep as chips micro-drive.
