However the lass that told me this at the counter, had the most enormous partially unbuttoned bosoms, that forced me into some blind “don’t look at the bosoms” paranoia. What happened next is all a bit of a blur, but the socks I picked up are size 5.5 – 8. I’m a 10/11.

Just slipped a pair on and they fit fine. (Mmmmm, new socks).

So pondering it a bit, surely there are far too many variables in the whole lower leg business, to be able to state a sock ‘size’?
