    I reckon they have volunteered already for medical students to have a poke about, then someone came along and offered them cash to go on the show, i very much doubt they are just general joe public off the street

    Perhaps in return for going on the telly they get the problem treated immediately and privately at the tv companies expense, instead of maybe not at all on the NHS? Can't see any other reason for volunteering for it.
