Been looking at the Hope and TRP offerings today, and very nice they are to. The Hope in particular.
What’s really nice is the feel, something I’d not considered whilst getting all bothered about the stopping power.
Cheaper than I thought as well.

Not on road bike though, that would be poo’ey.

The maintenance is also great. No more faffing about lining up the pads with the rims, and adjusting them as they wear, no more trimming off that little lip that gets stuck under the rim on a wet ride.. No more sudden braking on a wet ride and having to wait a scary few revolutions for the water to clear off your rims… no more riding through a gloopy puddle and losing braking..

Plus, as long as you don’t bend them, your rims will last indefinitely and you will never need to rebuild a wheel.

aye lost a road bike rim this year i would just be happy with reliable braking tbh – ie the same in all weather conditions as molgrips notes

A rim friendly course earlier today.
That was like hitting a brickwall exiting that pit.
