Do you mean the Brass Monkeys Round 3???

If so the answer is yes – very good indeed! 🙂

The course is actually pretty much sorted and was riding well on Monday night.

So yes – worth entering. There are a few climbs and a good mix of single track and fire road. Even a few interesting bits with chutes and bomb holes.

Yes very good riding (have done events there on 2 wheels powered and unpowered!)

Is there a course map or is it created/marked for the day?

I am relatively new to racing – only done one XTT. How hard are these events (technically)? Is the 1 hour taster really too easy?

The one hour will / should give you 2 laps. Technical difficulty – There are some interesting bits but if you control your speed and are either competent or fearless you will get round fine! It gets harder if you ride it quickly!

I haven’t seen a map published yet and generally the aren’t produced owing to some of the issues with the land being owned by the MoD and in regular use as a Military training area!

A lap is about 8 miles.

Course should be a goodun with some nasty climbs and good descents – probably no course map as the MoD are quite touchy about MTB GPS routes being published for their training areas.
