  • How to save 7% on heating bills…I'm confused!

So if prices are to go up by 7% then how can I absorb that increase?
    Do I:
Reduce the time the heating is on by 7% OR
Turn each rad thermostat down by 7% (no central thermostat control)

Or would either option save 7% on my heating bill?

This is more a theoretical question than a practical one, just can’t work it out in my head!

Assuming that your boiler burns gas linearly then you need to reduce the time the gas is being burned for by 6.5421% not 7%.

spend as little time in your house as possible
Take advantage of the free heating on offer at yout local drinking establishment (pub)

might cost more in the long run though

They heat job centres. Looks like that’s where I’ll be keeping warm soon.

Don’t cross channel swimmers cover themselves in goose fat or lard or something to keep themselves warm?
