  • How to make an AM transmitter?
  • Hi guys

I’m looking to build a transmitter at 457MHz so that I can practise avalanche searches using a transceiver whilst at home. Can anyone advise me the best way to make one and suggest a schematic and parts list?

    Cheers

Not legal to build your own transmitter at that frequency. Devices have to be type-approved and that type-approval contains the licence.

Pretty easy to build, nonetheless – try searching for transmitter diagrams suitable for amateur radio use in 433MHz band and adjust.

edit – (yes, I have an embarrassingly geeky past hidden away…)
