As above… been out this afternoon and picked up a small cut in the front tire ['bout 1/2" long] possibly from a piece of glass. latex squirted out and filled the hole but didn't seem to set as everynow nd then i had another squirt of latex. the tire held and got me home but kept squirting out of the hole.

is it because the weather's too cold, wet, sunny??? or is this what i can expect from this "new fangled squirt all over you, your bike and passers by latex malarky"…

dont pump it up too hard, say 20psi, put the whol at the bottom and let the latex seal it, top up the air/latex as necessary. it should seal but half an inch is quite a big cut so it may just take overnight. put it by the radiator too.

My guess would be "hole too big". If you want to rescue the tyre, you could remove it, clean out the latex and then try patching from the inside.
