Have to send my ps3 away to tcr for repairs as won’t play games but have been advised I should save game data before sending it away.
Don’t have another ps3 (who has 2 consoles ?) – can data be saved on memory stick for example ?

you can backup manually via a usb stick, browse to the right savegame file and press the triangle and select Copy in the newly opened sidebar.

Otherwise there is a backup utility if you want to backup everything, but you might need a decent sized usb stick for that 😉

    Yes:

    1. Go to Game section on menu.
    2. Open up Game Saves
    3. Put in your memory stick (cf, ms duo, sd)
    4. highlight A game save then press Triangle button.
    5. Choose the menu option to Copy
    6. Press X button on the memory stick and let it copy.
    7. Repeat for each game.

no – insert game disc & timer clock spins round for a few seconds, then
makes a noise as if trying to eject disc but disc stays in. A few seconds later timer stops spinning but game does not play. Grr !
On extended warranty with gamecare/total console repairs so it’s off
to them (not heard best reviews of tcr but will wait & see)
