My question is how many mile do people recon they will be doing in the full 8hr?

Maybe going of HTN1 milages.

6 mile lap compared to 8 (I think) on the original course
Much drier conditions over all, faster track, more all weather too.

I reckon 50 minutes to 1 hour per lap

so my 80mi might be a bit ambitious?

I'd have said 80 miles in 8 hours was about right (as a tolerably fit, non-racing sort of chap), but I've not ridden the course. 🙂

You're lap times will get longer bearing in mind the in-between-laps beers you'll be consuming 😀

Nah. I'm going into full-on "shock and awe" mode for 8 hours to work up a head of steam for a really good beer frenzy afterwards. 🙂
