    Hi all,

Anyone know of a company hiring out decent full suss trail bikes in the Orgiva/Southern Granada/alpujara area of Spain? Got family out that way and usually ride dirt bikes up in the mountains there but the trails would be so much better on a reasonably HD trailbike.

Area is really popular with roadies but there must be some mountain bike related action to be had?! Loads of abondoned mining settlements up in the mountains.

Not sure on bike hire but the ‘Bikefax – Mountain Bike Southern Spain’ has the main rides around there in it.
I stayed in Lanjaron the last time I was there…we couldn’t do the rides that went over the passes due to the snow (Jan). You shouldn’t have a problem with that.

I hired a bike from http://www.sedikisandalucie.com in southern Spain, but wouldn’t do again. I didn’t get the advertised bike (cheaper groupset on it), no spare inner tube for two days, the wheels weren’t true, they have no insurance, and the mtb hire cost per day (before discount) was twice the rate a bloke I met paid in nearby Almunecar (don’t know the name though).
