Can I fit a band-type front mesh on a Scott Scale 10 carbon frame or I must use an E-type instead? I have a torque wrench and I just wonder if it will be safe. Thanks

Must use e-type. Don't think the band will fit on the seat tube rather than anything to do with reinforcement.

Why would you bother anyway, e-type mechs are easier to set up as there's less to adjust!

I have just bought the frame and I haven't got an E-type mesh. But rather than risk any damage I thing I'm going to buy a new E-type mesh.

You can take a dremel to a 34.9 mm clamp to try and expand it to the 38 mm required to fit the scale. Or wait till the new SRAM xx front mech comes out which will be availible with a 38mm clamp. Or easiest of all just use the e- type mech!
