I've decided to give clipless a go. I've got some crank bros acid pedals with cleats, and now need some MTB shoes.

I'm size 11 and i have £50 to spend, at the very most. Any ideas? I've seen a few cheapish 661s on CRC.

what should i look for? They should be easy to clip in and out, and i don't need them to be watertight…

It's the cleats that make it easy/hard to clip out – and CB are a lot easier than SPD in my experience.

The rest depends on what you like the look of. I always go for ones with velcro straps after too many muddy knots/broken laces. CHeck out the deals at Wiggle, I just ordered some Pearl Izumi for £50 reduced from £99….watch the sizing though, they come up small!
