    i had been removing the main pivot bearing on a five but the bearings
    inside were trashed.As i was knocking them out the bearing split and has
    left the inner sleeve of the bearing on the mount.Any ideas how i can remove this i am stuck.

    get a cylindrical 'something' as close a fit as you can, poor a load of boiling water over it ( the swing arm ), then get your 'something' into what's left of the bearing, angle it over so it'll bind a bit in teh cartridge shell, and wiggle it.

    It'll be difficult to get behind it in order to give it a good 'whack' so you'll really need to employ something like a sliding hammer – either bought or DIY
    Try soaking in it Plus Gas for a while first
