Stripped the cable out of the shock yesterday, as it was not moving freely. I found a lot of dirt etc in the recess where the cable terminates and you can see the top of the slider. The LBS have suggested sending the shock to DT for a service at £100 for a full rebuild. The problem is I don’t have £100 to spare at the moment and the rest of the shock is performing fine, it’s just the slider that seems to be sticking in the body or the spring that is fouled with dirt. If I can remove the bit where the cable enters the shock then I may be able to access the spring/slider to clean it.
Any sugestions or help would be appreciated.
