Tim - love the pic! I have found wheels make a huge difference, plus Nobby Nic's.

I got my Juliana down to 25lb.

I would say somewhere around year 2000 or older as the 2001 ones had those silver crank arms and black chainrings so not like Yours.

Cranks you mention are XT FC-M739 from circa '97 and are about 675g without BB.

they are probably lighter than the evolve xc's i was thinking of swapping then.... blimey

Looks very much like my Anthem build. Haven't weighed mine but I have Olympic rims, XT octalink cranks and an 8 speed XTR Cassette. I'm planning on changing the pedals for ritchey v4's which should be a good weight saving for £30.
