Just building up the whippet and have a FSA Orbit CE heaset. Popped the bearings in and fitted the crown race. Put the forks into the frame and tightened everything up but the headset is very stiff, so something is wrong.

Cant see what I am doing wrong so any ideas? Its like the top cover is sticking but unsure.

Any thoughts welcome!

Maybe you’ve overtightened the top cap screw – it doesn’t need to be too tight (just enough to stop any movement for and aft and side to side, if you mow what I mean)

Seem to have fixed the problem. It seems the headset I bought the bearings are the wrong angle. Popped another bearing in that I had lying around and its fine now.
