I just bought a Boardman Pro FS frame second hand.

The original is a FSA Orbit C-40 ACB/Industrial 1-1/8″ to 1-1/2″ Tapered – Integrated but it needs replacing.

It might be this one http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/fsa-orbit-c-40-acb-1-5-headset-no-42-acb-/rp-prod84328

I don’t understand what standard that is in terms of SHIS Norm.

I can’t really pay £55 as the frame was £210. But I don’t know which cheaper alternative will be compatible, if any. I am happy with a £20 Brand X set for instance (they are really well made) but I don’t which one to pick. Any help appreciated.

Think this is the one you need.

Thanks Lee – yep that seems to be the one and dirt cheap too.

However, the original seems to be 36/45 bearing angle and the Brand X 45/45, based on one conflicting QandA on CRC. Should I ignore that apparent incompatibility because the crown race will be different anyway ?
