Any inspired ideas as to what to buy my darling wife for our 4th wedding anniversary. Cotton or silk apparently, which means all I can think of is bed sheets (no, no, no…) or undies (depressingly predictable…). Any other bright ideas?

Silk box with a diamond in it?

    Can’t go wrong with diamonds.

just Google ‘cotton’ and ‘hotel’ or ‘silk’ and ‘hotel’, for a hotel with the right name e.g. Cottons Hotel & Spa, Knutsford in Cheshire. Or does it have to be an item?

Why do you need to buy anything?

We are up to 10 yrs so far and not found the need to buy stuff every anniversary

Hand make a card from some cotton fabric?

    Bandages

    Towels

    Silk flowers

    Silk gloves

White cotton gloves, compete with grey dust mark on one finger and a label that says “must try harder”

Not all of these are good suggestions

Because I want to, she doesn’t expect anything and would not be in any way concerned if I bought her nothing. But I want to, so I will.

That would be setting the bar far too high. 🙂

We always take the day off together do something special, go out for a meal. Much better that an random gift.
