    As the title says really.
Without being full face, the wife wants something that gives good protection over asthetics, although it’s not allowed to look hideous.
    Upto about £100.

I got one of the new Xar’s from my missus for my birthday the other week. Have been impressed so far, its comfier and lighter than my old helmet and looks alot better too.

For me its the Flux. It has a forward and side overhang to ensure theres a fair bit of helmet that hits before your ear/nose/eyes do and more importantly the rear cranial (the most delicate bit) of the back of the head has the most protection against the competition.

The weight? I don’t see why the reviews rate it highly then bang on about the weight. Oh and its sit around your head, not on like a hat so you dont look like a fat mushroom like some helmets!

One that fits her head would be the best choice, I would say.
