just moved house and the fairly new boiler (vaillant ecotec plus) and controller (vaillant vrt392f) has a setting that can be either ‘2 step or analogue’ according to the manual

as i understand it, 2 step means the boiler is on firing at max or off? And analogue means the boiler will modulate its output depending on heating demand.

Its currently set to 2 step, but i’ve read that analogue may be more efficient.

Its heating standard rads, no underfloor heating. So should i switch it to analogue? Are there any problems i can cause by doing this and anything to watch out for?

    Thanks

Replace the controller with this install the app on each smartphone and get on with doing something far more interesting.
