Seen the mio, looking for something like that, rather than a chest strap, something wrist worn I can use with endomondo etc.
    Any slightly more budget alternatives?

Can’t help with more budget recommendations. But do plenty of googling of HRM accuracy of any unit your eyeing up.

iirc there ‘used’ to be reports of sketchy accuracy.

I’ve a Garmin FR225 BTW, very happy, use the HRM pretty much every time is run\bike

My old mio link was utter gash – unreliable, poor battery life and not very accurate.

To balance the argument, I have a mio link and it works very well.

On the bike in any weather.

Expensive but I don’t think there is anything cheaper that uses the same technology.

I’m looking for something that will connect to my Garmin Edge and record my hr (optically) on my commute without having to wear a chest strap. It’d been nice to tell the time and do steps/sleep tracking etc like a lot of cheap devices out there do. I don’t understand how there’s nothing out there that can do this.
