    Seen the mio, looking for something like that, rather than a chest strap, something wrist worn I can use with endomondo etc.
    Any slightly more budget alternatives?

    I got a Mio link today, it gets its first outing tomorrow so u can report back then if you want.

    The link is a bit cheaper than the velo. The only difference is the velo acts as an ant+ to Bluetooth bridge. The link just broadcasts ant+ and Bluetooth 4.

    Amazon were selling the Tom Tom cardio runner for £99 on Black Friday. Might. Be similar deals in the January sales.

    I can recommend a scosche rhythm+. Not quite a wrist strap, goes on your upper arm or forearm. Does ant+ and BLE. Nice alternative to a chest strap.

    I like it as well but find that it struggles in winter and I have to go back to a chest strap 🙁
