    what should I get then? The (very old) Chris King is feeling a bit knackered. Is it worth spending the money to sort it out, or what is the STW headset of choice??

    have you lifted the snap ring and seals and given it a good clean and regrease? Might be all it needs.

    FSA XL II will be the standard response – sorry additional comment will be 'you dont need anything else'. (I have a new Hope one and its working well for me)

    The new Hope ones are nice. Much lower stack height than they used to have too.
