I think the head doctor expander wasn’t tightened enough and the bolt sheared when tightened down on the top cap beolt. The top of it is under the line of the recess. Any advice for getting it out?

I have had three head dr’s and they all broke this way. Mine were just loose and fell out. Wouldn’t waste my money again..

I did that, just screwed a regular bolt in, it pushed the broken end out.

They are alloy bolts, and consequently can’t be torqued-up too tight. Just tap a blade screwdriver in and screw it out – or drill and tap.
