    Like a complete idiot I plugged the wrong charger into my garmin edge 1000 , know the unit has completely locked on in the summary mode , won’t turn off or respond to anything i do

    is it f**ked or can it possibly be repaired ?

    If it’s a standard USB charger then it should only supply as much current as the Garmin requires .

    Connect device to computer
    Press and hold LAP/RESET and POWER
    Release POWER when screen turns off (continue to hold LAP/RESET)
    Release LAP/RESET when device appears as a drive letter on your computer

    There is probably a reset combination of button presses. There is for my 520.
