I’ve been toying with the idea of a new road frame in steel. I would be moving all the stuff of my carbon road bike. I know it would be heavy but that not an issue. So what’s your thoughts, space horse or otherwise? Budget £350ish thanks 1 shed

I absolutely love my Surly Pacer. Definitely heavier than my old PlanetX Procarbon, but sprightly and comfortable……

I also have a Pacer. The only way in which I can fault it is that the front end is a bit flexy – but that’s in a 62cm size; I would expect smaller sizes with smaller riders to behave better. But the geometry is spot on and it’s a comfortable ride.

    Min’es a 56cm – I imagine a 62cm would feel “different”…..

The pacer is the right sort of frame, but isn’t saying buy me. Too understated for me!
