  • Harwich to Esjberg Ferry – Getting away with booking a sprinter van as motorhome

Just booking a ferry to Denmark and the cost between a large van and a motorhome is £200!

Its a nice looking sprinter, clean, metallic colour etc. Is it likely I can pass if off as a motorhome, they normally seem really relaxed as though they wouldn’t care.

    Anyone have any experience?

How much is it costing for the cabin?

DFDS are fairly relaxed so if yer not carrying commercial goods then you can probably get away with it. Where are you heading to? You know they have other “hidden” routes into scandinavia?

Give them a call, they’re pretty helpful.

it’s likely they send customs and excise amd immigration a list of all vehicle booked. If someone picks up your traveling with a misdescribed vehicle it may gain extra attention.

Looked into this recently and decided it was much cheaper to get chunnel and drive. Quicker and much cheaper. Depends on your final destination of course.
