or this, if you can source some cheap disc brakes…

Those BeOne frames look awesome for the price, but disc only means though the frame is only 95 quid, I'd have to find some disc wheels, and some disc brakes too. Even after I'd sold her original wheels (old LX hubs on X517 rims, so still not bad quality) and Deore V Brakes, It'd probably be £100 or more expensive in the long run even assuming managing to find some cheap disc brakes. Also, at 8 and a bit stone, and only a beginner offroad really, the V brakes are more than enough.
Bought one of these for my wife:

Pretty good IMO. I bought the semi-creme, i.e. not triple butted, but still plenty light.
Hmmmm… They do look good… No geometry listed anywhere though! Also look very similar to the Brand X frames on CRC but with added stickers…
I have a Gary fisher frame you can have for £40 collected, it is a few years old now though and has quite a few pain chips but ticks all your boxes.
Though I'm sure it would probably be adequate, she wants something new, or as good as, so chipped paint isn't gonna cut it I think.
I have a medium Klein Pulse Race which i am just about to put up for sale. From about 1996 but still in really good nick. I have been using it as my singlespeed for the last few years and it is the best climbing bike i have ever had.
Same as above really… If someone has something fairly new, in VGC, that might be suitable then superb… Also I doubt a 1996 Klein is corrected for 100mm forks.
