I use TrueImage – it is pretty simple to use, just make *very* sure that you are copying the disk full of data to the new drive, not vice versa.

I have literally just done this yesterday, and used mini tools partition wizard which is free, will copy and resize partitions and entire disks as required. I just bought a cheap external USB enclosure and cloned the disk over, then swapped them over. Took ages, but pretty easy.

Thanks for that , I have copied my c drive over took a couple of hours.
Do I just swap them now or do I need a bootable thingy ?

If you’ve cloned the drive, just swap them over.
If you’ve just copied the contents of your old drive to the new one, it won’t work.

    Thanks for help.
Used Seagate Disc Wizard in the end. It was made for the computer idiot (me) and had a step by step guide with pictures !!!!!. From downloading the Wizard program and connecting the enclosure to swaping hard drives.

    Thanks Again
