Don’t you just love the gig economy, masters in engineering and I’m considering unblocking drains 🙂

Friend of a friend works in admin for an office based company and asked did I want to ‘bid’ on some basic DIY type jobs.

I could find some trade’s liability insurance, but when I started adding multiple jobs it seemed to add together all the premiums so the premium ended up higher than just being an electrician with an actual chance of killing someone. Anyone else done this and recommend anyone? I’m not going to be building walls or wiring anything up, but would need carpentry (putting up a shelf), electrical (changing a bulb), decorating (making good), plumbing (unblocking the u-bend)?

Call a local insurance broker – this is what they are good at.
