in the next couple of weeks I will be going out to buy my first electric guitar, have been learning on an accoustic for the last couple of weeks.
I’ll have in the region of £200 to spend on it (already have an amp) so what should i be wary of or be specifically looking for???
    considering getting second hand one.

definitely play the guitar in the shop,to see if you like it/how does it feel to play.if you know anyone who plays, see if they will go along with you, they can give you advice, about the action (how far strings are from fretboard) e.t.c. also try and play it through a similar amp to what you have (if possible).oh and don’t be intimidated to play in the shop (after all you are the customer/we all had to start somewhere) i am an awful guitarist, but it doesn’t stop me from trying a guitar out in the shop.hope that was of some help. :-)p.s forgot to add i reckon you should check out a yamaha pacifica 112 (if you shop around you can definitely pick one up for under £200.
