    For dispersing water – yes

    As a lubricant – no

it's good for cleaning oil off stuff, good for pivots on mechs, brake levers and also good for displacing moisture after cleaning. It's not good for chain lube unless you want to spray your chain every 20 minutes.

It makes the frame looks nice and shiny if you rub it on with a cloth.

Is said to prevent dirt sticking a bit, not sure about that though.

I spray my bikes all over with it after washing. Cleaning after a muddy ride becomes a case of rinsing with a hosepipe.

I can't imagine what purpose it would serve; so, no.

dont use it on ANY moving parts as it just washes away the grease or oil that should be there

I use it to polish the frame now and again but you can't beat the smell of it when you walk through the front door or when you climb in the car and the bikes are in the back.

    Mmmmm gt85

I always use GT85. It's my post wash water repellent of choice.
After washing my bike I give it a good dose of GT85.

    In order….
    Headset
    Pedals
    Bottom Bracket
    Front Mech
    Rear Mech
Down the back of the free wheel
    Jockey wheels
    Chain – a good soaking
    All suspension pivots

Then before I ride next time I give the chain a good dose of lubricant.

On stanchions and shock I use a silicone spray.

Hmmmm – I do use it on my chain and mechs, but don't let it anywhere near anything which should be greased…..

I use nothing else! I never clean the chain just wipe it over and reapply. Current chain is a year old and the bike is an all year round off road commuter. The joy and simplicity of hub gears – just use whatever is lying around and ride.
