My father-in-law is looking for pedals for his road bike but can’t use clips of any kind (either spd or toeclip). HIs current solution of just riding on the flat bit of some SPD-SLs is a bit sub-optimal so I’m on the lookout for something gripper.

Had thought of something like a Superstar Nano but they’re a bit wide-looking. Is there anything similar in price but less wide? Purely for aesthetic reasons.

I commute using superstar el plastique, they’re grippy enough and aren’t too wide or too much weight and with the black Friday offer are pretty good value.

I use Specialized Low Pro Mag 2. Have used for ages. Still cant find any as good and as narrow. Really grippy on my small feet
