Hello all, new here, so thought I’d introduce myself.
I’m Paul from Leicestershire, got into road bikes about 7 years ago (for motorbike fitness, I race endurance) and tried mountain biking about a year later on a second hand Boardman hardtail I bought for £350, loved it so much that back end of 2014 got a Scott Spark 910 which I’ve thrown a further £1500 at making it do what I want, but currently considering changing for a Whyte T130C.
I ride some local xc route occasionally, but mostly Cannock, Llandegla and the Peak district (Hope etc), also been to Nevis range and done some of the 7Staines and off to Pyranees next month for my first venture abroad.

It’s a bit craaaazy around here, but I hope you like it 🙂 To fit right in, I suggest you swap at least one of those riding holidays for a week spent posting in the forums. By the end of the week you may have been even awarded a Sudocream award for something. Last place gets a dose of Picolax and a singlespeed to ride across Dartmoor.

I’m very relaxed about them, mostly because I’m to stoopid to know what one is.

Where are you going in the Pyrenees ?

We’re staying in Luz St. Saveur, which is at the foot of the Col du Tormalet, so I’ll do that and possibly another climb or 2 on the road bike, then want to ride down Pc du Midi, St. Lary and Cauterets on the mtb.

Update on the cephalopods, just googled them and I do like a nice Octopus!
